The fire in his soul compels him to dance.

Damien’s passion is to dance, to teach, to inspire,
and to perform. While grounded in classical flamenco, he also creates a new, unique and in-the-moment flamenco experience.

Damien performs regularly at traditional, contemporary, and innovative
venues all around the Bay Area. He dances with the same intense energy and impressive professional mastery at every show.

As a versatile flamenco dancer he captures the vital heat of self expression and often integrates modern genres to tease, to play, and to enhance his own creativity as well as his audiences and his students.

His family roots are from the Spanish region of Asturias. He has studied with Manuel Reyes, Alfonso Losa, Pol Vaquero, Jose Maya, Pedro Cordoba in Spain and with Rosa Montoya, Yaelisa, La Tania, Melissa Cruz, and, currently, with Fanny Ara in San Francisco. He teaches flamenco dance, technique, and performance classes in San Anselmo on Thursdays from 10:30 – 11:30 AM and San Francisco from 10:30 Am – 12:30 PM.

Damien offers ample opportunities for his students to perform regularly at his monthly Flamenco Libre show.
